The results of two research experiments have been considered in the dissertation paper. The first experiment deals with the studying of efficiency of preincubation eggs treatment with selenite sodium.
The second experiment deals with the studying of different selenium levels influence (0,2; 0,3;
0,4; 0,5 mg/kg of mixed fodder) on productivity and metabolism of replacement chickens and laying
The first experiment has shown that eggs treatment by 0,01% selenite sodium solution in preincubatire period leads to selen penetration into eggs components (protein, yolk, shell), resulting in increase of both selenium concentration and vitamin E in the yolk. The to result this decrease departures incubation and increase by 6,4% eggs laying ability and by 7,6% chicken hatchability.
In the second experiment the optimal dose of selen 0,3 mg/kg in mixed fodder has been suggested.
The use of this selen dose in the fodder has given the increase of daily chickens gaining weight during the first eight weeks by 21,3%; from the age of 8 till 16 weeks by 15,6%, and for 21 weeks by 12,6% on the average.
Feeding chickens with mixed fodder containing selen dose 0,3 mg/kg for the period of six months resulted in laying egg increase by 10,5%, and egg weight – by 6,2%.
The eggs from tested group differ from control group by higher eggs white weight (up to 9,9%)
аnd yolk weight (up to 20%). Selenium concentration in egg white has group into 2,08 times, and in
egg yolk – 2,3 times.
The studying of incubative eggs qualities has shown that egg laying ability in the tested group is 97,2% as to 90,2% in the control group, and chicken hatchability is 90,7% as to 79,1% in the control group.
Selenite sodium eggs treatment in preincubation period has given economic effect 0,06 grivnyas per a chicken.
