Theoretical generalization and a new solution of the scientific problem of substantiation of conditions for effective fire extinguishing in closed rooms of ships using technology of fine spraying of aqueous fire extinguishing substances in the systems of their fire protection is given in the dissertation.
Using mathematical models having been worked out and computer programs proposed for their digital solution conditions of effective spraying of aqueous fire extinguishing substances with centrifugal jets have been confirmed as well as necessary conditions for effective extinguishing of class В fires in closed rooms of ships by means of delivery of fine sprayed aqueous fire extinguishing substances to their spaces.
Increased inhibiting and fire extinguishing efficiency of fine sprayed sea-water as well as sodium chloride, potassium chloride and potassium nitrate solutions based on it comparing to fresh water have been stated.
The main technical requirements and a method for calculation of fire protection systems for closed spaces of rooms of ships with aqueous fire extinguishing substances by volume mode have been substantiated.
